97 percent of cotton crops planted in US (by Jun 28, 2026)
By the week ending Jun 28, about 97% U.S. cotton crops have been planted, up 7 percentage point from Jun 21, up 2 percentage point from the same period of 2025, flat from five-year average, according to USDA. 37% of crops has been squaring, up 10 percentage point from previous week, down 1 percentage point from the same period of 2025, and up 1 percentage point from five-year average and 9% of crops are setting bolls.
Crop condition is 4 percent very poor, 12 percent poor, 36 percent fair, 41 percent good and 7 percent excellent.
