Campaign of connecting and developing the industry in the Chuxiong Prefecture of Yunnan Province, China was a success as a key chemical industry new materials project with a total investment of 6 billion RMB was signed on September 3, 2023.

During the event, the Deputy Governor of Chuxiong Prefecture, Peng Wei, introduced the current status of the chemical industry in Chuxiong and presented the industrial construction project requirements.

The Investment Agreement for the construction of a new 200kt/year 1,4-Butanediol (BDO) plant and a 300kt/year biodegradable plastic PBAT (polybutylene adipate terephthalate) plant was signed between the Lufeng Industrial Park Commission and Yunnan Meineng New Materials Co., Ltd, with a total investment of 6 billion RMB. This project will help fill the gap in the chemical industry's new energy and environmentally friendly materials sector in Yunnan Province.
