On August 31, 2023, Sanwei released its semi-annual performance report. In the first half of 2023, the company achieved operating income of 1.844 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.81% compared to the same period of last year. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 116 million yuan, an increase of 21.8% on the year. The basic earnings per share were 0.15 yuan, an increase of 25% year-on-year.
Sanwei is engaged in the rubber products industry, mainly manufacturing and selling rubber products, concrete sleeper blocks, and polyester fibers.
Sanwei stated that during the reporting period, the basic construction of the BDO integration project has been completed and the production conditions have been established. The relevant positions have been recruited, and equipment debugging and personnel training are currently underway to prepare for subsequent production.
The above-mentioned project refers to the Phase I construction of Inner Mongolia Sanwei New Materials Co., Ltd., including 300kt/year of 1,4-butanediol (BDO), 100kt/year of degradable plastic PBAT, 60/year of high-end polyether material PTMEG, and supporting construction of a 360kt/year acetylene raw material joint unit (calcium carbide) and a 720kt/year formaldehyde unit.
