Pakistan makes affirmative anti-dumping final ruling on polyester filament yarn from China
On June 17, 2025, the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan issued the latest announcement on Case No. ADC65/2024, making an affirmative anti-dumping final ruling on polyester filament yarn originating in or imported from China. It was determined that the subject goods were dumped, and such dumping caused injury to Pakistan's domestic industry. It was decided to impose an anti-dumping duty ranging from 5.35% to 20.78% on the subject goods for a period of five years starting from November 15, 2024. The measures do not include polyester filament yarn used solely as raw materials for Pakistan's export products, as well as those required for foreign donation aid projects and other duty-exempt projects. The Pakistan tariff numbers for the subject goods are 5402.3300 and 5402.6200.
On May 24, 2024, Pakistan initiated an anti-dumping investigation into polyester filament yarn originating in or imported from China. On November 14, 2024, Pakistan made an affirmative preliminary ruling in the case, preliminarily deciding to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty of 2.13% to 20.78% on the subject goods, valid for four months.
